Old School - Pick by Label

Pick by Label, here's an old school way of ensuring your low volume warehouse/distribution centre distributes the right product to the right customer.

Simple, for each order also needs to be issued to the picker the corresponding number of labels. Each carton on the order to be despatched needs a label applied to it. Hey presto, at the end of the order the picker will have no labels left - a correct order.

Any labels left at the end of the order, the picker has short picked, not finished the order and no labels left the picker has over picked. (and remember you will never hear a complaint from a customer who has received to much).

Sure there's a little cost in labels and a bit of admin but the costs of credits or lost (despatched) stock can compensate for this.

Cheap, simple and could save a big expense in returns and lost stock.
